Liam's Laugh

Liam has the cutest laugh in the world.  He is very ticklish and so I have to tickle him often just so I can hear his cute little laugh. His most ticklish spot-under the arms and his chin.

Special Olympics

It was so fun to have my Aunt Sue and Grandma visit Boise for the Special Olympics. My Aunt has been a volunteer and coach for the Special Olympics for years and now that she is retired, she was able to come up and volunteer. It was so neat to see how the community got together for this wonderful event. It also meant a lot to have my family in town. We always enjoy spending time together. They got to experience the Boise weather in February, which is a lot different than California where they live. As part of the Olympic festivities, there were all of these beautiful hand made scarves that people could purchase or get free for volunteering. We had to show our Olympic spirit and wear them with pride. It is neat to see how all of the scarves are different and to see people wear them around town.

6 Months!

Can you believe it? Liam is already 6 months old! He is getting so big! He is seriously the happiest person I know! He is always smiling, even when he wakes us up in the middle of the night to let us know his diaper is soaked through, he still does it with a big grin on his face!
Still no teeth, but he is always drooling and loves to put anything into his mouth. His pediatrician said he had a tooth about to come in but that was about 2 months ago and still no sign of a tooth.
He hasn't sat up by himself yet but he is working on it and can do it with a little assistance.
Liam loves to go to Baby and Me and the Blooming Baby group at the library. He loves people and the interaction. He is a little social bug!
It has been such a gift to be his Mom, and I know John feels the same way about being a Dad. I am honored that he is my son. It has been such an amazing journey to see him develop and to see his little personality evolve!
We love him so much and our so blessed he is in our lives!

Super Bowl

Thanks to my cousin Johnny from PA, Liam was able to be decked out in full Steelers Style for the Super Bowl. We went to a Super Bowl party at John's Uncle Mark and Aunt Tammy's house (though they all were Cardinal fans, but who could be a rival against Liam?!)
The game was pretty impressive, to say the least, but Liam was tuckered out from all of the excitement and was in bed by 7:00 so he missed the big finale.

Dining with Liam is an experience

Liam is now a regular rice cereal eater. He now opens his mouth when we try to feed him, where before it was like we had to trick him to smile just so we could open his mouth to put food in. He always had such a disappointed look when we put the cereal in his mouth. Now, Liam looks forward to it and if we aren't feeding him fast enough he starts to whine....drama.... He also enjoys feeding himself, as you can see, he is still learning. Needless to say, we go through a lot more bibs now.
