Wine Country

On Tuesday of our Spring Break, John, Liam, my Aunt Sue and I traveled over to the wine country. That is probably my favorite place in California. It is so peaceful there, the landscape is beautiful and spending a day sipping wine is alright if you ask me. We ate some good food, drank wine, sampled local olive oils.....yummy!

We also got to introduce Liam to my Aunt Marge and Uncle Ray that live in Calistoga. It is nice to have Liam meet his family. Hopefully we can make more of a visit within the next year but it is still nice for a quick drop to say hello and get caught up. 

Carmel

While down in Monterey, we also drove down to Carmel. I can't get over how beautiful the ocean is! We were a little disappointed that it was so windy. It was hard to get out and explore with the very cool breeze.....still a rough day at the beach is not that rough! :)

Monterey Bay Aquarium

John, Liam and I traveled to the Monterey Bay Aquarium while we were down in California. It is so beautiful there and there is so much to look at. My  personal favorite are the otters (they are so cute and playful). Liam liked to look at the fish. There was a tide pool outside that he could stand under and look up at the water and fish. He was so fascinated by them-it was delightful to see how he really did study them and enjoy looking at them. His room at home is painted in an under water theme, so it is neat for him to see fish and the ocean in real life. 

Kristin's Shower

Kristin's shower was a great success! We are so happy for her and her husband Dan. We know they will make wonderful parents and so it is so exciting to be a part of all of the baby festivities. The games were fun, the food and cake were to die for and the company was superb (but of course!). Congrats Kristin and Dan! We can't wait to meet the newest addition to our family!

Drive down to California

So John, Liam, my Mom and I loaded up the car and drove down to California for my cousin Kristin and Dan's baby shower. Since it is also Spring Break we decided to stay a while and make a vacation out of it (which was much needed). This is the second time John and I have driven down to California and he is a pro--which is wonderful! We stopped at Ikea to stretch our legs and to load up on much needed (and affordable) essentials. Liam was so tuckered out from the sensory overload!

Being a parent entitles you to take these kind of photos....I know he will be totally like...."Awww Mom" and roll his eyes when he is older, but c'mon....isn't this adorable?!
