Father's Day

It is Father's Day today! Liam and I took John out for breakfast and then went to a classic car show downtown. All of those cars are almost like works of art, so it is neat to appreciate them...though I am sure we don't appreciate them as much as the owners, but it is still a fun Father's Day activity.
Then we proceeded to the Wood River Cellars Winery out in Eagle. There was a special Father's Day Celebration- There was music, BBQ, fishing, bocce ball oh and of course....wine! We had never been out there before and sure was beautiful. We sat out on the grass for a while and soaked it all in. It felt like being in a movie because today just seemed so perfect.
After the winery, we went over to his parents house to celebrate Father's Day with his father and his grandfather. John and his sister Maria made a Father's Day video for their Dad, which was very cute.
What a wonderful day! It is so neat to have John be a father and to celebrate the day with him!

Liam=Swimmer

We have been taking Liam to swimming lessons. The class is for two weeks at Wings. There are 7 children in his class. I think Liam is the youngest and the oldest is maybe 3.
Liam has been learning how to kick in the water, blow bubbles and "jump" into the water. He is a master at splashing! He loves to splash! It is nice for him to get out some of his energy in the pool. Since he has been crawling more, he is not happy unless he can move. I wonder what we are going to do once the class is over.... any suggestions for physical activity for babies?!  :)
Seriously though, it is so fun to be able to give Liam these opportunities. He just lights up when he is in the pool and it is a wonderful time to bond with him. We signed up for the 6:00pm class so John can come after work. I know he looks forward to that time they can spend together.
