Amie's Wedding/Our 2nd Anniversary

My friend from college, Amie got married in Seattle this weekend. John and I drove there for this joyous day! We decided to leave Liam with my Mom and John's parents. They have watched him  a lot since he was born but never over night and this was the first night that John and I had both left him. We knew they would be great with him and Liam would eat up all of the attention--totally true. When John and I got back and Liam saw us come into his room the next morning he was like "Where's my Grandma?"
Amie's wedding was beautiful--right on the water! The next day Amie's parents invited us over to a BBQ at their home, which was a great opportunity to catch up and mingle with her family! We had a lot of fun talking with her Grandparents. She is one of the sweetest people I know and I am so happy for her!
John took me out to a nice dinner on the water that evening (Anthony's Pier 66). We walked down to the restaurant and it just so happened to be the Hemp Festival in Seattle that weekend and I am pretty sure John and I were the only ones not wearing pot leaf t-shirts.
It was a successful weekend, good company, good food, good celebration, good weather, good driving.....Good Times!

Walk/Run in the Foothills

When Aunt Sue was in town, she wanted to get in a long run since she is training for a race. John and I took her up to the foothills. John and Aunt Sue went ahead of me with our two dogs and Liam and I took the shorter route, since I am not in as good of shape. We enjoyed the run, though it might have been a little bumpy for Liam. There is nothing like hitting the trails early while it is still kind of cool outside before the sun comes up.

Liam's First Birthday!!!

Wow! Liam is one year old today! I can't believe how much he has changed this year...he went from a baby to a little boy!
We had a great party! A lot of our close family and friends were able to make it and celebrate Liam's life with us! He was not so sure about the cupcakes--they kind of scared him at first (or maybe it was everyone staring at him) either way he didn't think they were all that great, until he starting eating them...then it was a yummy mess!
We had a couple kiddie pools out for the children; it was great to see kids run around and play in our yard, plus it was nice for them to have a place to cool off on such a warm day.
We are so lucky to have such great family and friends in our lives. Thank you to everyone for your love and support to make our lives and this past year, the best yet!
