Liam is full of funny stories
Story #1:
So the other day I was nursing Owen...Liam comes into the room and is a little loud so Owen stops nursing to look at Liam....Liam pushes Owen's head towards me and says, "Eat the penis Owen!"
Nice huh?!
Story #2:
The other day we were at the doctor and the nurse told Liam, "Goodbye cutie" as she was leaving the room...so guess what Liam said to her? "Goodbye cutie!"
Story #3:
We were leaving a holiday party last night and Liam told the host to "drive safe!"

NICU Christmas Party
Every year, the NICU does a Christmas party for all of the children and their families that have gone through the NICU. This is the first year that we have gone. It was such a blast! Liam got a free t-shirt and bike helmet! We got a very nice family photo by a professional photographer (haven't had a chance to scan it yet). We had dinner and they even had a raffle (which we didn't win anything--but we tried!). It was a great way to jump start our Christmas vacation and do a little activity for the whole family and to celebrate how well Liam has done! What a blessing he is for us!

Paws and Claus at Zoo Boise
Liam was not so sure about meeting Santa and prefered to keep his distance. I thought he would be more interested in meeting him this year because he has been wanting to watch "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," or as Liam calls it "Baby Santa show" because Santa is a baby in the beginning of the movie. We didn't want to push the meeting for Liam and will try again next year.
It was a success overall! We got to see the animals and enjoy some family time with Felisa as well!

Thanksgiving
Well, this year on Thanksgiving it was a double holiday (well, if you count my birthday a holiday). We relaxed at our home in the morning with my Mom--John made strata and my Mom made fresh squeezed mimosas---yummy!!! We watched the Thanksgiving parade and the dog show. For dinner we went over to John's Aunt Chris and Uncle Doug's home for the big family get together and feast. The boys spent most of the time upstairs playing, Aunt Chris and Uncle Doug were very nice to transform their room into kid-central! We ended up having to get 'to-go' plates because Owen was teething and tired and John and I have found out the hard way that it isn't worth staying out in public with screaming kids, if we can help it. The food was yummy! Malia made me an amazing chocolate cake for my birthday! Bring on the holiday pounds! :)

Kickin' It
Hi Everyone,
Maybe I should have titled this 'Tossin' It' instead based off of this first picture below. Liam loves playing with his toys and we occasionally have to remind him to not throw things inside. When I grabbed the camera to take a picture of him he decided he'd show off instead-he loves pushing his boundaries :).

Happy Fall!
What a beautiful time of year! We have loved seeing all of the fall colors starting to come alive in our backyard. We took Owen outside to experience the fall color and he loved just looking around. It is so cute to see him become so observant!
It has been such a warm fall so far. It has barely even been coat weather--makes me think that when the cold weather comes it is going to be soooo cold!

Owen's first 'Rice Cereal'
As an update this is my first time updating our blog (yep-it's John here)! I hope to have fun with it and that everyone else enjoys it too.
Yesterday Owen had his first spoon fed snack. When we started feeding Owen, Liam immediately came over asking, "Up, please"! Suffice to say, Liam is a great big brother :). Owen was a champ-drool and all.
I look forward to more fun posts-it's been awhile since I've blogged-but who couldn't be stoked with such a fun family?

Early Fall
These are some photos of Early Fall--September. We have had a lot of fun going to the Zoo and watching football games--gasp, even BSU! John went there and we keep getting BSU outfits as gifts--so I feel like I need to be supportive and dress up the boys. I think they look pretty cute in whatever they are wearing (but I still love to see them in Black and Gold).
Andrea, Malia and Elliot
Andrea (John's cousin) and Malia and their son Elliot have moved to Boise from Portland. We have really liked having them here and since John has been home with the boys lately, he has been doing regular activities with them--super cute. It is good for Liam to have the social interaction and to practice his sharing with Elliot...he has been going through the "It's MINE!" stage--lovely! :)
Owen loves any new face to smile at and anybody to cuddle with him.

Labor Day Weekend in Cascade
4 months old
Well, another month has passed and Owen is another month older (well, I guess, technically we are all another month older--ha ha). He is getting to be such a big guy! I love it! We have to make sure to carefully wash in between each of his rolls--gotta make sure to keep the guy clean!
He is starting to grasp things in his hands--which is neat to see him hold on to things--sometimes he has that look on his face like "How did I grab this?"
He has still been working on the "tummy time." He starts off with a little smile on his face and then he is so over it--I bet you it would be hard working all of those muscles.
Liam is still doing well having a big brother. When they see each other at the end of the day when we pick them up from daycare, Liam gives Owen a great big hug! It is the most precious thing!
