24 Weeks

I am already 24 weeks along! I am really starting to feel pregnant. I am noticing that it is harder to be comfortable sitting for a long period of time and notice it is harder to bend over at times. The baby is kicking more now and he is more active during the nighttime, usually when I am relaxing.
People have been starting to ask me if I am pregnant--it is kind of a neat bond that you have with the world when you are pregnant--people want to talk with you more openly and people are very kind and generous as well. I have also noticed that same feeling of having a child---you become more connected with the world in some way.
We are still trying to ease Liam into the idea that there is a baby in my tummy--which is a very abstract concept for a 1.5 year old. When I lift up my shirt so he can see my tummy he now says "ball"--which I guess it does kind of look like that. I currently think it is cute that he thinks I look like a ball but if I wasn't pregnant I don't think it would be so endearing. :)
We haven't done much with the new nursery. We have a crib and dresser thanks to John's parents but are still waiting to find the perfect bedding and then from there do some painting--hope he doesn't come too early because we are still a ways off in being prepared. :)

Sympathy Pains

Well, I was doing my normal morning ritual--puking in the toilet--(this morning sickness is getting old), when Liam came into the bathroom, peeked over the toilet and started fake spitting into it. I don't know if I should think that it is cute or disturbing but I think Liam showed some sympathy for his dear old mom this morning.

Liam getting to know his little brother Owen

Since Liam is still so young (17 months) it has been hard for him to quite grasp the fact that he will be a big brother. My Mom has gotten him a big brother teddy bear for Christmas and John and I try to talk about Owen in my tummy. Last night Liam was very sweet to Owen--which of course melted John and my heart! We truly hope that they can become good friends and that having Owen will be a smooth transition for us all! We can't wait for our new little one to join our family!
