Breakfast with Santa!

At Liam and Owen's School they had a special day this winter--Breakfast with Santa!! I got to take off a couple hours from work to spend the morning with them! The boys were so excited....well....Owen was not sure sure about Santa (thus no pictures with him) but it was still a fabulous time!

I love how excited Liam was to meet Santa! This is the first year that he has actually sat in his lap and he told him what he wanted (a red tow truck).

I also love the photo of Liam and Owen eating---can you tell they are related!?!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Birthday Grandma

We had my Mom over for dinner to celebrate her birthday. She was in California for her actual birthday but we had to still do a party! Liam planned the menu of hotdogs and cupcakes and he had to request "purple cupcakes," which John and Liam made. This was a good chance to experiment with color and for John to show Liam how to make purple with the food coloring.

We love my Mom and are so happy to celebrate with her!

Thanks for the Bench Uncle Lee

My Uncle Lee made the boys a beautiful bench! It has served to be quite useful! I found the boys in the bathroom playing with the water....the bench can be VERY useful for them! :) You never know what they might get into now! :)

Liam is moving up in the world...

So now that Liam has turned the big 3, he gets to expand his horizons and move up classrooms at his school. His new classroom has new teachers, some new friends and lots of fun new toys and activities. His teacher is named Miss Dottie and her assistant is Miss Maria. In addition to talking, Miss Dottie signs everything she says and the other day I saw that they had learned yoga. We are also debating about getting him signed up for karate, a class they provide for the 3 year olds which I guess Liam loves! Since Liam has been at school more lately, when he comes home he calls me Miss Mom sometimes or John Miss Dad.

Silly Boys

Oh....the boys are silly! They always provide me with constant entertainment. They both love to see what they can do to test their limits and get a reaction out of people. They are partners in crime for sure. Earlier John and I heard both of the boys crawl into our little coat closet and just giggle away. It is neat to see them start to get a brotherly bond and to see their spunky sides come out more. Watch out world!

I Love Mommy

Hey Everyone,

I just remembered that when I went camping with Liam for the first time a couple weekends ago that Liam was asked if he likes girls. He responded, "I love Mommy."

It was a wonderful time at Warm Lake, and I look forward to many more camping trips with my mini me.

It's Dog Owen

Ahhhh...the joys of being a younger sibling....having your older sibling correct you! Right now Owen doesn't seem to be phased.....how long do you think that will last?! :)

Liam's 3rd Birthday in California

My Aunt Sue and Uncle Lee threw Liam a little 3rd Birthday Party for Liam while we were in California! He was SO HAPPY! Listen to him sing along! Darling!

We're going to the zoo!

We have been enjoying our family zoo pass this summer! I have been trying to take the boys there once a week. Each time we go we try to discover new things. Liam has been enjoying being more interactive this summer, I have noticed. I took the boys on the merry-go-round too. I couldn't take a picture since I was holding on to Liam as he was going up and down on a horse and holding on to Owen in the other hand (and me not trying to fall off from being dizzy...that was kind of tough. Owen wasn't so sure of the whole thing but Liam loved it!) I bet you next summer is going to be very busy when Owen can be even more interactive!

Lazy Days of Summer

So, I have been enjoying summer vacation (I mean really, is that even debatable?) Well, today I have decided not to shower (heaven forbid). Well Liam just pointed at the shower and said, "Take your clothes off Mom and get in the shower!" Really? Am I really that gross? Guess so!

Liam's Dress Rehearsal

Liam is going to be in a music recital tonight so I took him to his rehearsal today! He has been doing lessons once a week for about an hour for several months. The lady that does the lessons comes to his daycare. The music lessons are affiliated with the Boise Philharmonic and it is called Musical Kids. I have never been able to see him in his lessons before since I am always working, but since it is summer vacation, I was able to take him in and watch him! The other children in his class are anywhere from 2-5 years of age. Liam is one of the younger ones. The teacher says Liam catches on pretty quickly....I will let form your own opinion after the videos! :)

Spring Carnival

The Born to Succeed (the boys' daycare) Carnival was today! The bounce house was a big hit by Liam. He wasn't so sure about the actual bouncing, but seemed to get the hang of it by the end. Owen enjoyed getting cuddles and doing people watching. Liam also made a necklace made out of cereal.

The Big ONE!

We celebrated Owen's birthday today! He is turning one on May 2nd! We threw a very small party/BBQ for him with my mom, Aunt Sue, and John's parents and sister! We are so happy he is in our lives and cannot believe he is no longer a baby (though John and I say he will always be our baby!). So a little about our one year old...he loves to watch his older brother Liam, he is Owen's constant source of entertainment! He has 8 teeth! His favorite food is cereal puffs. He knows how to say mama, dada, and is starting to say dog! He enjoys going on walks and likes to look at animals. He has the most easy going temperament and is a happy little guy! We look forward to seeing how our little man will grow and cherish every moment with him!

More funny things Liam says....

-The other day I went outside to meet Liam (my mom had brought him over after a date day with him). I went out quickly without a coat or shoes on. Liam said, "Put your coat and shoes on honey!"

-Liam knows my name. He starts by asking for "Mom," but if I don't answer he reverts to "Julia."

-Liam is starting to potty train. He sat on the potty but nothing was happening. He said, "My penis is broken, get a hammer to fix it!"

Pretty in Pink

Owen was having some digestive issues at school and went through all of his spare clothes that I brought in for him and had to wear a loner shirt that daycare had....only thing was that it is pink. Owen's teacher said Owen looks like a "PTO mom!" (I kind of agree)! Total blackmail to bring out for his girlfriends when he is about 16! Look at how adorable he is! When I picked him up from school I had to do a double take! It is amazing how just a simple color can change how we look at someone! :) Still a cutie!

MaMa

Owen just made my day. He has been kind of babbling around using mama but mostly dada. Well today, I left the room and he craned his neck and said very clearly "MaMa!" I might just be excited but I think he is actually not just babbling I think he is actually trying to say "MaMa." Either way, I am pretty stoked!
